Research Areas

We are an interdisciplinary group of faculty who work closely with postdoctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduates to investigate fundamental biological problems on all levels from molecules to cells to organisms. We carry out cutting edge research in a wide range of areas including biochemistry, biophysics and structural biology, bioinformatics and computational biology, cancer biology, genetics and genomics, immunology, microbiology and virology, molecular, cellular and developmental biology, and neuroscience. The Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas is an excellent environment for research and education.
