Research

My work focuses on understanding the molecular functions associated with the hepatitis C virus genome. Hepatitis C virus is a liver inflammatory disease that can frequently result in cirrhosis and cancer. Using single-molecular FRET I study the confirmational dynamics of selected regions of the genome under different cellular conditions and in the presence of other biomolecules.
