With $2.1 Million NIH T32 awarded, KU Molecular Biosciences continues support for graduate training in Chemical Biology

Brian Ackley (professor, Molecular Biosciences) and Rebecca Whelan (Associate Professor, Chemistry) successfully renewed their NIH T32 “Graduate Training at the Biology-Chemistry Interface” $2.1 M award for five years. The award will provide support for graduate students in their 2nd and 3rd years of PhD training, during which time they will also complete a graduate certificate in Chemical Biology.
A NIH T32 grant is a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) that provides funding to institutions to support predoctoral and postdoctoral research training programs, aiming to develop the next generation of biomedical and behavioral scientists.
