Seven Students Mentored by MB Faculty Received Awards at the 2024 Undergraduate Research Symposium
Students mentored by MB Faculty members received awards at the 2024 Undergraduate Research Symposium held April 15-19, 2024. Congratulations to Alyson Honeyman (De Guzman lab), a senior Biochemistry major from Lenexa who received an ACE Talk award. An ACE talk is Accessible, Creative, & Engaging, and comes with a $500 award. Alyson gave an oral presentation of her research titled "Subcloning and Mutagenesis of Shigella Virulence Proteins Involved in Antimicrobial Resistance".
In addition, six other students mentored by MB Faculty members received a 2024 Outstanding Presentation Award. Recipients each received a $50 award for their presentation. The winners are listed by name, hometown, major, link to presentation, and mentor.
