News of former MB trainees

Dr. Christian Gomez has accepted a new position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Baker University. Christian obtained his undergraduate degree at Washburn University, was subsequently a doctoral student in Dr. Kristi Neufeld’s lab in MB, and following graduation in 2020 was awarded a prestigious KU/IRACDA Fellowship. The NIH-funded IRACDA program aims to train scientists as skilled educators, and provides both research training and pedagogical experience. While an IRACDA Fellow Dr. Gomez worked in the Ackley lab.
