Mizuki Azuma (assistant professor) gave a presentation entitled “Role of Ewing’s sarcoma Ewsa protein during skeletogenesis in zebrafish” at the Universite Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France on July 8.

Kelly Grussendorf (graduate student, Buechner lab) successfully defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Cloning and characterization of EXC-1, an IRGP homologue that controls intracellular trafficking and maintenance of shape in small biological tubes” on July 16.

Miles Smith (graduate student, Davido lab) successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Influence of the host cell factors, CK2, hTERT, and PML, on the antiviral response to herpes simplex virus type 1 infection” on July 3.
